AI for America Launches New Video Series

The campaign’s first video focuses on AI and small businesses, featuring Intuit’s Chief Data Officer, Ashok Srivastava

Washington, D.C. – AI for America, TechNet’s initiative to educate the public about how AI is being used to improve lives, grow our economy, and keep us safe, today announced a new video series to provide viewers with a closer look at how AI is transforming specific business sectors and aspects of everyday life for the better.

The first video in the series, which was released today across AI for America’s social media channels, features Ashok Srivastava, Intuit’s Chief Data Officer, discussing how small business owners are using AI to help level the playing field, accelerate growth, and focus more on the core aspects of their businesses that matter most to them.

“Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy and have led to the creation of two out of every three jobs added in the U.S. over the past 25 years,” said TechNet President and CEO Linda Moore. “AI is not only enabling small businesses to streamline their operations and focus more on growth, it is also providing them with access to analytical tools and capabilities previously only available to large companies. Intuit plays a major role in providing small businesses with new AI-driven capabilities, so we were very excited to partner with them on the campaign’s first video.”

“The campaign’s new video series will shed light on the many ways AI is being used to improve lives, accelerate innovation, and build a more prosperous and sustainable future for all Americans,” said Moore. “By focusing on specific use cases and having credible experts and everyday people illustrate the many benefits of AI, we hope to provide viewers with a more in-depth and tangible understanding of how AI is being used responsibly to improve lives, solve societal challenges, and help businesses of all sizes grow and succeed.”

“Artificial intelligence is one of the most revolutionary capabilities available to small business owners,” said Ashok Srivastava, Intuit’s Chief Data Officer. “Artificial intelligence can analyze invoices, bills, and payments to predict future cash flows. This helps small businesses make the best use of their cash and ensures their success.”

About AI for America

AI for America is an initiative to educate the public about how AI is being used to improve lives, grow our economy, and keep us safe. The initiative combines coalition building, advocacy, social media, and traditional media to demonstrate the immense economic and societal benefits of AI. AI for America is funded by TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of innovation economy CEOs and senior executives. TechNet advances public policies at the federal and state level that make the United States the world leader in innovation. Its diverse membership includes dynamic American businesses ranging from startups to the most iconic companies on the planet.

AI for America launched in 2023 with a television and digital ad campaign in Washington, DC. The ad, “What If,” highlights how AI is helping solve the most significant challenges of our time while stressing the importance of developing the technology responsibly. The initiative expanded earlier this year with a second ad, “This is AI,” which showcases how AI is helping us work smarter and live longer. “This is AI” appeared on cable TV and across digital platforms in five critical markets in California, Colorado, Florida, and New York, as well as in Washington, D.C.

In April, TechNet and AI for America hosted a panel discussion with The Hill on the policies needed to advance America’s leadership in AI. The event featured a conversation with TechNet Executive Council members Kent Walker, President, Global Affairs, Google, and Kerry McLean, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, Intuit, as well as leaders from TechNet member companies including Michael Kratsios, Managing Director, Scale AI, and former U.S. Chief Technology Officer, and Rahul Sood, Chief Product Officer, Pindrop. TechNet and AI for America also sponsored an event in February with the Washington Post to discuss the current efforts to govern AI, its innovative uses, and its importance to America’s global competitiveness. The event featured leaders from the Administration, Congress, and the tech industry, including an interview with TechNet President and CEO Linda Moore and U.S. Representative Anna Eshoo (D-CA) about the importance of getting AI legislation right, the CREATE AI Act, and the evolution of technological innovation since the Congresswoman first took office in 1993.
